Step one:
Collect your containers.
This is a new environmental education project where children learn to care for and respect nature by building a recycling habit.
The project includes education and communication programs in schools in the locality of La Unión, as well as the installation of plastic recycling containers, collection, and later reuse.
Through Planeta COLUN, collected plastic packaging products — made by COLUN or other brands — are processed so they can be turned into reusable plastic cladding, which is returned to the community as new resources.
We can also turn those materials into new resources for the community and keep strengthening our connection with the environment. With all the plastics processed during the 2025 program, large tree pots made from recovered plastic were produced and delivered, along with native trees from our nursery through a COLUN-CONAF agreement.
The initiative impacts more than 81% of the student enrollment in the municipality of La Unión, benefiting more than 7,200 children.
